Those of you who regularly check in with us noticed our site was down a few days. That problem has been resolved and we're back on-line. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please bear with us while we resolve some issues we are still experiencing with our e-mail server.
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. We've been busy here at the fire station with a few runs but mostly some over-due housekeeping duties. Come by and see our new gear racks and the mural in our classroom. We've also added a media counter in our classroom and began a display wall for our members to post their accomplishments and certifications. Special thanks to Jason Ayers, Neal Bailey, Tim Sandman, Lt. Tracy Summar, Chuck Sayler, Melanie Sayler, Harvey Bruns, and the many others who have worked so hard on these projects. I'll try to post pictures in the near future.
Those of you that keep a very close eye on us have noticed our engine 2502 is missing. That piece of equipment experienced a break-down New Year's eve due to a computer module "melt-down". We expect to have it back soon as a Caterpillar specialist has been working non-stop to resolve the problem and have the truck responding again soon. In the meantime, Kittrell Fire Department has loaned us their Engine 1703 to use so we can continue to offer the same level of protection our residents deserve. Thank You to Kittrell and their Board of Directors for their generosity.
Come see us February 13 at our next fish fry. We sure missed a lot of you on January the 9th.
